Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is the daylight saving period used across eastern Europe, when clocks move one hour forward from Eastern European Time (EET, UTC+02:00) to UTC+03:00. It runs from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, in step with the rest of the European Union. EEST covers Greece, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, the Baltic states, Ukraine and Moldova, and matches the offset used year-round by Moscow, Istanbul and Riyadh during those months. Athens and Helsinki both sit near the western edge of the EEST band, so summer evenings stay light well past 21:00.
