How It Works
When you visit this tool, our server reads the incoming network request to identify the public IP address assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It then queries a geolocation database to estimate the city and country associated with that IP.

Frequently Asked Questions
IP geolocation is not GPS. It maps the IP address to the location of the ISP's data center routing your traffic, which can sometimes be in a neighboring city or region.
